I was invited to join the Cambridge Association of Architects for the launch of their 67th edition; ‘Aspirational Workplace’. The Cambridge Association of Architects (our local RIBA chapter) publish a gazette generally focusing on architecture in Cambridge. The focus of this issue was places of work in Cambridge including future development plans for Cambridge Business Park, infrastructure inspiration from the Netherlands, and many other thought provoking questions and answers regarding the way we approach workplace design.
The event included an presentation from editors and contributors to the magazine, as well as some wonderful workplace installations by Vitra. They’ve got some great solutions for semi-private meeting spaces and work-bays by some big names in interior design.
We were also invited to tweet the CAA with the answer to a question found on the back of our lanyard. Mine: “Do you prefer to work in isolation, or with other people around you?”
@RIBACambridge depends on the people.. but generally I prefer to work with people around me.. to share ideas and knowledge efficiently!

Big thanks to everyone at the CAA, and I look forward to the June meeting!
