Photo Diary: Working Woman

The Office.

NB. Guess who just got upgraded to the mezzanine

I feel very blessed to have have such an enjoyable and challenging job in such a hospitable and inspiring company. As an added bonus (or perhaps an industry standard), the office is lovely. The white painted bare brick walls are framed by a navy and natural wood skeleton and light seeps into the office in beautiful strips through the blinds. We work in a bull-pen style, which means ideas are shared and questions are answered quickly and effectively – and the tea breaks are a much more communal event. The centerpiece is a navy spiral staircase, leading to the upper-deck of the office.. the balcony, meeting room, a few more desks and a collection of architectural magazines that includes an issue of AR from the month I was born. Unfortunately I wasn’t able to get anything that did the sloping ceilings and beams any justice, but here are a few snaps I took today.
