New project has officially started! We’re teaming up with some Interior Architecture Design students for a three phase development of Grade II listed Green’s Windmill in Sneinton, Nottingham, and today we went down to visit the site for the first time. Although currently owned by the Council, the windmill will become a private project in March, 2013, and we’ve been commissioned to update the mill, community centre and landscape around to make it a self sufficient business. The land was bought by mathematical physicist George Green, upon which he built the most powerful and up-to-date windmill in Nottingham. It was from here he went on to write scientific papers that had a profound impact on the world of physics. I’m very eager to find out more about his works, and make sure that his work and influence is seen through our designs.
